About 100 people showed up at the Williamsburg Regional Library on Thursday, hoping to talk to U.S. Rep. Rob Wittman during his scheduled mobile office hours. Concerns ranged from bills currently before the General Assembly to President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s running of the federal government.
Congressman Wittman (R-01) did not attend, and an aide fielded comments from the larger than normal group of attendees. Jessica Anderson, who is running as a Democrat for the 71st District in the state House of Delegates, said Wittman’s “failure to address the current dismantling of our democracy … is unacceptable and a dereliction of his duties as our congressman.”
Take Action
- Call Congressman Rob Wittman (R-01) and ask him for a public statement on Trump-Musk and DOGE. Is he for or against the approach this administration is taking and the impact on Virginia Jobs and research grants?
