You’re Invited: Rob Wittman Town Hall

April 14, 2025
By: Staff Writer

Are you frustrated and worried by what is happening in Washington D.C.? What would you like Rep. Rob Wittman to do to better represent you? Please join us for an in-absentia town hall for residents from Virginia’s first district. We will record the session and share it with Representative Wittman so that he knows what his constituents are worried about. Join us on April 26th at 10:30am at the Twin Hickory Library to ensure that your voice is heard. This event is about accountability and engagement. Even if our representative isn’t in the room, we believe our concerns deserve to be.

If you’d like to share a concern or story, please email:  democracy.circle.rva@gmail.com

“What brings me out is the future of my grandchildren and my great grandchildren and bad things for the working class. People fought so hard to get us where we are, I was hoping we’d never go back, we’d just keep moving forward and make it better. But we’re going backward, and it’s getting worse.”

“I object to what’s going on. Every morning I wake up and open the newspaper like ‘What fresh hell will there be today?’ And there are so many issues that I’m absolutely horrified by that it’s hard to list them all. My partner is on Medicaid and they craftily cut it – for after the midterms. He has a large number of health issues, and it’s going to be very difficult for him to get healthcare. It’ll be really tough.”
