Easy Snack Donation Volunteer Opportunity!

October 3, 2025
By: Staff Writer

In addition to the many election related volunteer opportunities we’ve shared to help between now and election day, we want to highlight another: The Henrico Dems have asked for folks to drop off snacks for canvas volunteers. “These folks are out every weekend knocking doors and talking to voters, let’s keep them fueled up! We’re especially looking for snacks and drinks that are easy to carry on the go, like:

  • Granola bars
  • Popcorn
  • Cookies
  • Peanut butter crackers
  • Small bottles of Gatorade or water

Every snack helps keep our volunteers energized, hydrated and ready to connect with more voters. Drop some off and help power the work that wins elections!”

“What brings me out is the future of my grandchildren and my great grandchildren and bad things for the working class. People fought so hard to get us where we are, I was hoping we’d never go back, we’d just keep moving forward and make it better. But we’re going backward, and it’s getting worse.”

“I object to what’s going on. Every morning I wake up and open the newspaper like ‘What fresh hell will there be today?’ And there are so many issues that I’m absolutely horrified by that it’s hard to list them all. My partner is on Medicaid and they craftily cut it – for after the midterms. He has a large number of health issues, and it’s going to be very difficult for him to get healthcare. It’ll be really tough.”
