The Henrico School Board is seeking input on possible adjustments to school boundaries within Henrico County Public Schools and will hold three town hall meetings to provide scenarios and receive feedback from the community before making a final decision.

Families, staff and community members are invited to attend these town hall meetings hosted by the School Board:

  • Thursday, Sept. 18: 7-9 p.m. at J.R. Tucker High School (2910 N. Parham Road)
  • Tuesday, Sept. 30: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Highland Springs High School (200 S. Airport Drive)
  • Tuesday, Oct. 7: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the ACE Center at Hermitage (8350 Hermitage High Blvd.)

Interpretive services will be available during the town hall meetings for Spanish, Arabic, Dari and sign language speakers.

“What brings me out is the future of my grandchildren and my great grandchildren and bad things for the working class. People fought so hard to get us where we are, I was hoping we’d never go back, we’d just keep moving forward and make it better. But we’re going backward, and it’s getting worse.”

“I object to what’s going on. Every morning I wake up and open the newspaper like ‘What fresh hell will there be today?’ And there are so many issues that I’m absolutely horrified by that it’s hard to list them all. My partner is on Medicaid and they craftily cut it – for after the midterms. He has a large number of health issues, and it’s going to be very difficult for him to get healthcare. It’ll be really tough.”
